Action

The Half Beak excels when worked with a classic Walk-The-Dog retrieve, producing a wide and enticing surface action that mimics a wounded baitfish.

When retrieved with aggressive rod sweeps and intermittent pauses, the lure dives just below the surface and darts unpredictably from side to side, creating the appearance of a fleeing baitfish in distress.

During the pause, the lure lifts its head toward the surface as if attempting to escape, a triggering movement that often provokes violent reaction strikes from following predators.
